Virginia Wittebort founded Essence of Childbirth, Inc. in 2004 as a family owned and managed business dedicated to bringing awareness of what is profound in the process of pregnancy and childbirth. At Essence of Childbirth, we believe that the base of strong human values is in the respect and love that we all have for each other, no matter how different we have created the dynamics of our lives. This respect and love starts from the time of conception. At our Midwifery practice in Clermont, Florida, we serve with respect and appreciation for our clients' journeys. We offer maternity care based on the Midwifery model that has served the world for as long as humans have existed. We trust the female body and its innate ability to create a healthy process through pregnancy, labor, and childbirth. We guide parents in a nurturing environment where developing trust for each other and the process is a common goal.

Our model of care involves the entire family as we encourage them to assume responsibility of their journey. We provide them with the information that is needed to foster healthy habits and make wise decisions conducive to the enjoyment of a natural, social and physiological process that evolves on its own accord and that is already complete by nature.
We take pride in nurturing relationships with honesty and trust. We emphasize the importance of healthy communication by being available and approachable to the entire family, sharing their concerns, and looking for answers together.
Awareness of what is profound in pregnancy and childbirth is our ultimate goal, so we promote personal growth as the foundation in preparing for childbirth and parenthood.
We are committed to offering the most peaceful and loving welcome that a baby can possibly receive at the moment of her birth. Normal pregnancy and childbirth is our expertise; therefore we focus on the natural process of pregnancy and birth carefully monitoring our clients through the entire process for any signs of physical or emotional risks. Our model of care is based on researched medical evidence. At Essence of Childbirth our clients' safety comes first. We take action based on extensive training, technical information and, of course, our intuition. We are equipped with what is necessary to manage most common minor complications, and we have been trained and certified as required by law.
